Physical Education

Physical Education (P.E.) in Kowloon Junior School focuses around developing children's confidence and skills within physical activities. It is a practical subject, which allows all children, irrespective of age, gender and culture, opportunities for participation, enjoyment and success.

P.E. forms an integral part of the curriculum at the school and is also a major area of extra curricular activity. It develops students' physical competence and confidence and their ability to use these to perform in a range of activities. It promotes physical skillfulness, physical development and a knowledge of the body in action. It provides opportunities for pupils to be creative, competitive and to face up to different challenges as individuals and in groups and teams.

Studies show that students who participate in regular physical activities exhibit improved memory, concentration, communication, problem solving and leadership abilities which improve their learning in other subject areas.

We aim to promote a life long enjoyment of sport and physical activity. Many of our students already participate in activities outside of school. Check out our WALL OF FAME to see those students who want to share their sporting successes with the KJS community.

In Physical Education at Kowloon Junior School we encourage our students to exemplify the IB Learner Profile to be INQUIRERS, THINKERS, COMMUNICATORS, BALANCED, OPEN-MINDED, PRINCIPLED, RISK-TAKERS, CARING, REFLECTIVE AND KNOWLEDGABLE.
